What does a desiccant exactly do?

Desiccants are adsorbent products used to remove contaminants like water vapour. A desiccant is a hygroscopic substance creating or sustaining a state of dryness (desiccation). Desiccant humidifiers are pre-packaged solids that adsorb water, commonly used industrially to control the water level in gas steams and products.

Desiccants are often packing in ergonomic bags. This low-cost option prevents moisture damage when being stored or transported. This way your sensitive equipment is protected against humidity damage, preserving product life in the process.

Desiccant bags are most often used in packaging applications and are mainly effective on equipment where there is limited space.
